ABOUT THIS COURSE
Healthcare has made great strides in recent decades, largely due to improvements in specialist fields. Delivery models, though, haven’t always kept pace.
What’s needed is a thoughtful transformation, that combines a design-led perspective with a key human-centred principles:
- A patient- as opposed to system-centred approach
- Democratisation of services to provide more equitable access
- Making prevention a foundation and not an afterthought
- Value-based incentives that support healthcare delivery which leads to better outcomes
Healthcare is also experiencing a flood of data, about patients, providers, procedures and outcomes, as data collection and analysis becomes easier and less expensive. This presents opportunities for shaping delivery in positive ways—but only if sense can be made of it.
“Transforming Healthcare Delivery Models” tackles these complex, interrelated problems, using CIID’s uniquely integrative, hands-on approach.
