Battleship LED Matrix

Battleship is a two-player game using LED matrices connected together with an Arduino. Each player's display shows a coloured dot representing their position, which they control using sliders to locate and sink all the enemy's ships. On the display, each player can view their own ships as well as the current enemy position. When the game starts, players search for enemy ships by using X-axis and Y-axis sliders as a manual coordinate map searcher. When a player slides over an enemy ship, the ship sinks and turns red. The first player to sink all enemy ships is the winner. Designed as an accessible gaming experience for everyone, the project emerged from the team's exploration of physical computing principles. The team took a traditional physical board game and enhanced it with electronic and LED components, transforming the classic Battleship experience into an interactive electronic game.
