CIID Charades

This project emerged from a week-long exploration of AI as a material for building interactive tools for the team and their colleagues in the IDP 25–26 cohort. Throughout the week of AI experimentation, the team worked extensively with Claude, creating multiple applications that connected to Arduino hardware, other computers, and mobile devices.

This exploration empowered the team to treat AI as an integral material for their installations. For the team, this was their first time working with AI in this context, and it quickly proved to be a powerful tool—significantly accelerating development and enabling rapid prototyping in impactful ways.

CIID Charades is a party game server created to give CIID students a space to relax and play together during breaks and at the end of the day. The project is a web application built entirely using Claude Code, allowing multiple users to join a shared session and play either Charades or Pictionary, with prompts inspired by the CIID experience.

Throughout the week, the team also developed a stronger understanding of how to communicate with AI effectively, learning how to structure prompts and workflows to reduce iteration overhead and arrive at a product ready to be shared with a wider audience.
