Rishi Kandimalla is a product designer from India who has spent the last eight-plus years making very complicated enterprise software slightly less terrifying. He currently designs Copilot experiences at Microsoft and helps look after its enterprise-scale design system, which mostly means having strong opinions about spacing. Before that he was a Senior Product Designer at Fractal Analytics, wrangling data-dense dashboards, with earlier UX stints at Ogilvy & Mather and Markiverse Media. He was raised above his grandfather's hospital and was supposed to become a doctor; he took a detour through film school at Whistling Woods instead, then landed at NIFT Bangalore for a B.Des in Experience/Graphic Design (Cum Laude, which he will mention). He won the Kyoorius Young Blood award in 2018 for work with Maggi. Off the clock he is a competitive 10 m air-rifle shooter, a gamer, and an anime fan, and is now bringing all three to Bergamo, where he plans to work on the intersection of design, business analysis and AI, and on his espresso tolerance.
