The Interaction Design Programme attracts talent from around the world and transforms people from a wide range of backgrounds into design leaders and critical thinkers who challenge the status quo.
As Ai, emerging technologies, and new ways of working reshape the design landscape, we teach you to navigate uncertainty, think critically, and continuously evolve within our hands-on learning environment. At the same time, you acquire the essential skills required to become a designer and key collaborator with the ability to thrive wherever the future leads.
The key to all of this is you and your CIID peers. The combination of your professional and lived experiences bring a vital element to the Interaction Design Programme that enables you to innovate and create positive impact.
This is why our admissions process starts with a conversation about you: your individual profile, your aspirations, your motivations, and your potential to transform into the designer that you aspire to become.
The Interaction Design Programme welcomes people from all professional backgrounds and levels of experience.
You might come from: architecture, the arts, business, computer science, data science, design, the humanities, engineering, the natural and social sciences, public policy, software development, and urban planning or any other field...
What matters most is your curiosity, your willingness to collaborate and share your existing knowledge - and your motivation to create positive change.
Our admissions process is designed to be simple and personal. You will have two 45 minute conversations with our admissions team so we can get to know each other and learn about your goals. Together we will explore whether the Interaction Design Programme is the right fit for you and if it is aligned with your onward ambitions.

An Offer & Onboarding
You will meet with two members of the CIID team to learn more about you and your interests in the programme.
You will present two pieces of your work or projects that give us an insight into your background and experiences.
If our conversations reveal a good fit, we will offer you a place in the programme.
If you accept, we will guide you through the onboarding process, including logistics, housing and any financial assistance details you may require.
Your journey begins with an informal conversation with two members of the CIID admissions team.
This is an opportunity for us to learn about your background, interests, and what brings you to CIID, while giving you the chance to learn more about the Interaction Design Programme, our approach to learning, and life in the studio.
If we feel there could be a good fit, we'll invite you to continue to the next stage with an invitation to conversation number 2.
We will also provide you with the opportunity to connect with one or two CIID alumni to hear about their experiences at the Interaction Design Programme.
We'll invite you to prepare and share two examples of your past work, study or personal projects. These could come from your professional life and practice, research, entrepreneurship, community engagement, or personal pursuits.
If we believe the programme is a strong match for your goals and aspirations, we'll invite you to join the Interaction Design Programme.
Once you have accepted to join the Interaction Design Programme we will share with you the next steps and provide support along the way. This will include guidance on visas, logistics, and general practical matters. We will also speak to you about general financial planning and how you can access the student loan by Intesa Sanpaolo bank.
