Rui Pereira is a Portuguese Creative and Technologist passionate about (dis)embedding technology into people's lives to make them easier, better, and happier. Rui runs Humanos, a small, award-winning Creative Technology Studio focused on Spatial Computing and Immersive Design, based between Brooklyn and Lisbon. He collaborates strategically with brands, museums, and innovation partners to demystify emerging technologies, powering interactive experiences and product innovation. Throughout his career, Rui has led innovation for both advertising campaigns and products: consulting with Google's clients on insight-driven innovation, rebuilding Classical Greek cities for Microsoft, and collaborating with Meta's Reality Labs Research to envision future XR interactions.

As an educator, Rui has taught at Parsons The New School for Design and NYU’s Interactive Telecommunications Program (ITP). He is also a thought leader who frequently speaks at industry events. In his free time, Rui enjoys fixing and riding bikes, as well as exploring nature, art, and cooking with his family.
