Bergamo Unpacked: Future Experiences for Tourism and Mobility is an exhibition that puts the recent surge of visitors from across Italy and abroad over the last five years to Bergamo in the spotlight. Students in the Interaction Design Programme at CIID have explored Bergamo’s future with tourism and mobility through three distinct lenses: data, nature, and people. Their work reveals compelling new possibilities while raising important questions. How can we design and shape a future for Bergamo that helps remain true to its local identity? How do we create space for our new visitors who arrive every day that strikes a balance for them and our daily lives?
Iskra Uscumlic is an interaction and service designer with expertise in transforming complex data into clear and useful experiences. She focuses on bridging human needs with system realities, creating services that are not only life-centered but also sustainable and scalable. She co-leads the CIID Innovation Studio at CIID.
Jenna Date is a product and design strategist, researcher, educator and facilitator working at the intersection of human experience, complex systems and emerging technology. Her work spans healthcare, mobility, finance and community innovation, helping organizations translate human needs into meaningful products, services and futures.
Lorenzo Costanzo is a materials scientist and certified biomimicry educator with over fifteen years of experience across academia and industry in R&D and product innovation. His work sits at the intersection of materials science, biomimicry, and systems thinking, exploring how the logic of living systems can reshape the way we design, build, and innovate.
Michael Brenner is a Designer, Facilitator, and Creative Data Strategist, and currently leads the Interaction Design Programme at CIID. With just over two decades of experience working in cross-disciplinary teams across the cultural, educational, and social impact sectors, his work centers on research, social impact, and community-based design interventions.
