What does it mean to design for the present moment?
This year's 3daysofdesign Symposium, Entering the Now, reflects the wider theme: Make This Moment Matter. It is a call to shift perspective. From designing for what comes next to engaging more deeply with what is happening now. The present is no longer simply a bridge between past and future; it is where decisions are made, where responsibility is felt, and where design has the power to shape meaningful change.

The Future of Work Is Play

The organisations that will thrive in an AI-accelerated world are not the ones that optimise harder, they're the ones that play smarter. Drawing on 25 years of creating breakthrough work for leading companies, and building a global design and innovation leader in the process, this session explores Play+ — a model for creating cultures where curiosity, collaboration, and breakthrough thinking become the engine of growth. You'll leave with a framework you can apply, and a conviction that play is not the opposite of serious work. It is the foundation of it.
This workshop will be run by Olof Schybergson.
Olof is a business leader, designer, and co-founder and long-term CEO of Fjord, which grew from a small London studio in 2001 into the world's leading design consultancy, acquired by Accenture in 2013. As Global Design & Digital Products Officer at Accenture Song, he led a team of 4,000 professionals across six continents, delivering breakthrough work for many of the world's leading organisations. He is now co-authoring The Future of Work is Play, a leadership book.
