E-M-O (Electric Motions) is an immersive audiovisual experience that transforms human emotion into light, motion, and sound. Designed as an interactive environment, the project invites participants to select a specific emotional state—calm, anger, energy, or sadness—and step into a projected world where that feeling is given form and presence. Rather than observing emotion from a distance, participants are enveloped by it, experiencing how feelings move, evolve, and resonate in space.
Each emotion is represented through a carefully composed video projection and an accompanying soundscape. Visuals shift in rhythm, color, and intensity, mirroring the internal dynamics of each emotional state: calm unfolds through slow, fluid motions and soft light; anger manifests in sharp contrasts, rapid movement, and heightened intensity; energy pulses with vibrant patterns and driving rhythms; sadness drifts through subdued tones, gentle motion, and melancholic sound. The audio elements are synchronized with the visuals to create a cohesive sensory experience, reinforcing the emotional atmosphere and deepening immersion.
E-M-O functions as both a contemplative space and a shared emotional landscape. It explores how inner states ripple outward, collide with one another, and eventually dissolve, suggesting that emotions are not fixed but constantly in motion. By externalizing these internal experiences, the project encourages reflection, empathy, and emotional awareness. E-M-O ultimately presents emotion as something tangible and alive—an electric force that can be seen, felt, and momentarily shared within a collective space.
