Roots reimagined, one sip at a time.
Heritage Remix is a contemporary ritual inspired by the Apatani Myokó festival. The Apatani are an indigenous tribe from NorthEast India. An interactive vessel, shared stories, and monthly gatherings reconnect the Apatani diaspora with their cultural roots. Many recall sitting beside their last tattooed grandparents, assisting in rituals, hearing stories in their mother tongue, and admiring the hand-carved bamboo mugs they drank from. Over time and distance, those connections fade.
Every 19th of the month, the vessel gently vibrates and reveals a message. On the 20th, an ancestral voice invites the participant to share a meal with a friend. Placing their vessels on the platform links them, recognising both souls and telling a story that can be paused with each sip. Once emptied, a blessing invites quiet reflection.
Heritage Remix strengthens community ties, and keeps cultural memory alive—no matter how far one is from home.
