HONOURS

Momentum

What’s been happening?”, the instinctive answer is often “nothing much.” Not because nothing happened, but because we didn’t pause long enough to notice or remember. This project begins with that gap between lived experience and recalled experience. It shows how we can make life's moments clearer without disrupting our daily flow. A simple double tap on the back of the phone lets us capture a moment instantly.

The interface translates this idea into a visual language of time. Time appears as a sine curve. Day and night rise and fall along its peaks and troughs. This perspective shows how time moves away from the present. Moments appear as simple markers placed along this curve. You can tap them to see if anything was linked to that time. Otherwise, they stay minimal, respecting the fleeting nature of memory. A larger calendar view lets users zoom out to see events over several days. This gives a better sense of rhythm and activity.

The goal is to keep the interaction simple and soothing. It focuses on scrolling through time and remembering past experiences. The system doesn’t attempt to capture life in detail, but to gently prompt recognition. What this really shifts is the feeling of being stationary while time passes. It creates an awareness of time, showing that even small moments leave a mark.
