MUSE is a playful phygital arcade experience designed to help Gen Z move from passive AI use toward more informed, conscious and intentional engagement.
It focuses on three user archetypes: drifters, who use AI frequently without knowing how to preserve their own cognitive effort; resigned users, who disengage from AI because of concerns about its impact on cognition; and dependents, who rely heavily on AI despite those concerns.
Through a comparative love-letter experience, users first write by hand and use AI to enhance their work, then create the same letter using AI alone. By comparing the outcomes and reflecting on both processes, users consider the role they want AI to play in their lives.
MUSE builds AI fluency by making cognitive handover visible and supporting informed choices about when to use AI, retain agency, or opt out.
