
Deep Sea Dash is a multiplayer game that challenges players to guide a jellyfish through three underwater trials. Each station has a riddle the player must solve and has a different form of interaction the player must complete to finish the challenge: tilting to navigate currents, applying the right amount of pressure to feed the jellyfish, and aiming a laser at a target to guide them home.
Designed as a playful, hands-on experience, the game transforms simple sensors and physical actions into a shared underwater adventure. Players must complete all three trials and extinguish their lights before their opponent to win.
The concept grew from exploring how everyday physical movements could become game mechanics and how different forms of interaction could create varied challenges. The project allowed the team to experiment with programming, sensors, and feedback while thinking about how to make technology feel playful and intuitive.
A key learning was how physical interaction can create a stronger sense of engagement than traditional screen-based controls. The team also learned how to prototype and balance different interactions so that each challenge felt distinct, understandable, and fun.
