Aanal Kumar is an animator and visual storyteller from Kolkata with over 14 years of experience in motion and design. He is driven by the belief that motion is powerful because it makes things feel alive; in a static world, movement is what connects people to reality.

His professional journey is highlighted by his independent short film, The Hook, which won a "Best Animation" Jury Award and was showcased on the El-Rey Network in Los Angeles. Over the years, Aanal has worked across a variety of environments, from creative production houses to his recent role as a Senior Specialist at Protiviti. It was there that he realized design is more than just a "facelift"—it is a vital tool for solving problems and telling stories clearly.

A "player" at heart, Aanal is an avid trekker who loves exploring the mountains. He believes that seeing the world from different perspectives makes him a better designer. He also studied theater at Rangkarmee, which helped him develop a disciplined approach to being a team player.

Aanal often says that if animation is the body, design is the soul. He is now at CIID to bring these two worlds together, using his 14 years of expertise to move toward human-centric design that creates a real impact on people's lives.
