Diana Chaves is a Costa Rican architect, social entrepreneur, and emerging interaction designer - passionate about regenerating the relationships between humans, water, and the Earth. Her interdisciplinary practice weaves together ecological architecture, regenerative design, and community-based innovation.

With a background in architecture from the University of Costa Rica and years of experience in agroforestry, holistic health, and rural entrepreneurship, Diana brings a grounded, systems-thinking approach to the way we inhabit space. Her thesis project, MITRÓPICA, explored modular ecological housing as a response to climate change and evolving lifestyles in tropical regions.

She draws inspiration from simple beauty, noble materials, vibrant communities, and the wisdom of the Earth. Diana is open to collaborating with designers, dreamers, and doers committed to a more connected and conscious world.

Social startups: Dos Madres Botanical Nursery (2015–2017), Jungle Project (2015–2020), El Chineo (2023–ongoing).
Social causes: Feria Verde Organic Market (2017–2024), Casa Hogar Paraíso Infantil (2025).
Collaborations: Impact Hub San José, The Heroine’s Journey Podcast, Sanara Clinic, Resimple, Symbiosis Eco Design.

In 2025, Diana will join the Interaction Design Programme at the Copenhagen Institute of Interaction Design (CIID) to expand her toolkit and co-create inclusive, joyful, and regenerative futures.
